STUNELL'S PRAISE FOR STOCKPORT'S RECORD-BREAKING EXAM RESULTS

Andrew StunellCommenting on the publication of this year's GCSE results, which showed a record number of Stockport's students gaining five or more passes at A*-C grade, Hazel Grove MP Andrew Stunell said:

"It's been another record-breaking year for Stockport's students, and I want to congratulate everyone on this terrific set of results.

"It's been a lot of hard work, but it just goes to show that it pays off in the end.

"I'd also like to pay tribute to the teachers at all of our schools who've done a fantastic job in helping their students achieve the biggest improvement in GCSE results in four years."
