Local MP, Andrew Stunell, is calling on young writers in Hazel Grove to enter the prestigious ifs Young Business Writer of the Year competition. The competition, open to anybody aged 14-19, is entitled "Saving for the future: one size fits all?" and has a prize of £500.
Mr Stunell is writing to local schools to encourage their pupils to take part in the financial education charity competition. He said:
"This is an excellent opportunity for young people to develop an interest in entrepreneurship and business, as well as improving their writing skills".
"The budding young journalists of Hazel Grove can use this competition to contribute to the debate on a really relevant issue, receive recognition from top journalists and even win some money for their own savings!"
