MP fights for more affordable housing in North West

November 13, 2007 7:09 PM

Andrew StunellBetter access to affordable housing is needed in the North-West, claims Hazel Grove MP, Andrew Stunell. The local MP joined today with other North West Members of Parliament at the launch of the North West Housing Forum's push to secure more sustainable and accessible housing for the region.

Commenting on the launch of the new document, The case for housing in the North West: The region's contribution to homes for the future, Mr Stunell, said:

"Access to affordable, decent housing is a right, not a privilege, but too many people in Stockport are inadequately housed. We need to make sure that we regenerate unused housing and build new homes where appropriate.

"I am working hard with the North West Housing Forum to put pressure on the Government to make affordable, accessible homes a reality for all."

If you are a resident of the Hazel Grove constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
