This morning, local MP, Andrew Stunell joined over 30 other MPs and members of the House of Lords in cycling across London, ahead of National Bike Week next week. Mr Stunell cycled the five mile opening stage of the Tour de France which will start in London this year.
Hazel Grove MP, Andrew Stunell said:
"Cycling is a great way to keep active, is environmentally friendly and fun. I want to encourage as many people as possible to use pedal power to travel to work, school and local amenities."
"Why not keep fit and do your bit for the environment by dusting your bike down and cycling to work for National Bike Week?"
Mr Stunell is vice-chair of the All Party Parliamentary Cycling Group at Westminster.
