Manchester Airport's plan to close passenger pick-up zones at terminal buildings has been criticised by local Lib Dem MP, Andrew Stunell.
Commenting on the plan announced on Wednesday, Hazel Grove MP, Andrew Stunell said:
"Closing the pick-up zones will make it much harder for passengers with luggage to get home. They are dressing it up as an environmental move, but these plans sound like a cheeky ploy to get more people to park and pay at the airport.
"Many local residents will understandably be upset with these plans. I have met with airport managers this week, and I am pressing them hard to reconsider their decision."
