This morning, local MP, Andrew Stunell joined over 30 other MPs and Peers in cycling across London to work in Westminster as part of National Bike Week. Mr Stunell is vice-chair of the All Party Parliamentary Cycling Group and is calling on people in Stockport to try cycling to work.
Hazel Grove MP, Andrew Stunell said:
"Cycling is a great way to keep active, is environmentally friendly and fun. I want to encourage as many people as possible to use pedal power to travel to work, school and local amenities."
Mr Stunell urges:
"It is National Cycling Week, so why not keep fit and do your bit for the environment by dusting your bike down and cycling to work this week?"
