This Friday morning, Hazel Grove MP, Andrew Stunell will visit Hazel Grove Furniture Station which collects donated furniture and redistributes it to people in need in the local area.
Commenting ahead of the trip, Mr Stunell said:
"I am delighted to have the opportunity to visit Hazel Grove's Furniture Station. It is an exceptional service that has helped hundreds of people in our local area.
"Last year the Furniture Station supplied over 1,000 disadvantaged individuals and families with essential furniture, cookers and fridges. The organisers have recently set up a furniture repair workshop to help train unemployed people in the area."
Mr Stunell added:
"This is an inspiring anti-poverty initiative run by volunteers. I would like to congratulate all of them on their work."
