Hazel Grove MP, Andrew Stunell, today backed a parliamentary motion congratulating Stockport Council on their Fairtrade status.

"I am delighted that Stockport Metropolitan Borough is one of the few councils to have gained Fairtrade status. This is something that everyone across the Borough can be really proud of.

"Choosing Fairtrade products when you are shopping is an easy and direct way to make a difference to farmers and their families in developing countries.

"I use Fairtrade tea and coffee at home and in my office. I urge all my constituents to check them out!"
