Say No To the Congestion Charge

"I shall be voting against Congestion Charging and the TIF bid because the people I represent would get such a poor deal out of it. We would be paying in plenty, but not cutting congestion on the A6, not getting a tram link, not getting a rail link from Marple to Stockport, and not putting in the rest of the A555 by-pass. And some of the improvements boasted of will happen anyway - the extra railway carriages for overcrowded commuter services are already on order, according to the Government.

It's a rip-off for Stockport residents, with no visible payback. Vote No. "
